Remote Learning Plan

In the event of school closures beyond 8 school days, Covington Schools have adopted a remote learning plan that allows for the continuation of instruction while students remain at home.  The expectations vary by grade level and are outlined below.  If you have specific questions on the expectations for your student, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of our teachers or your student's principal.

Elementary | Kindergarten - Grade 4

Because students in our lower grades do not take their Chromebooks home on a daily basis, teachers are preparing daily packets that need to be completed during the actual school day and returned the very next day we return to in-person instruction.  Teachers will be available to help during the school day through Google Meet or via email.  If you are missing your student's credentials to access any of the curriculum or their school Google account, please reach out to their teacher.

Elementary | Grades 5 & 6

Students in grades 5 & 6 should have their Chromebooks at home and charged in order to engage in remote learning throughout the school day. Students will follow the schedule below for synchronous Google Meets being held with their teachers.  Links to the Google Meet sessions can be found in the corresponding Google Classroom.  Attendance in the Meet sessions are required and attendance will be taken.  If a student has questions about an assignment or link information for their Google Meet, they should reach out to their teachers using their school email accounts.
