ACADEMICS

The district values academics and provides multiple ways to help students succeed. Student homework and progress is available 24/7 through the district's online gradebook (ProgressBook Suite). The district makes available a Chromebook or iPad for every student district-wide and allows students in grades 5 through 12 to take their Chromebook home each day.

Grade Point Average (GPA) is computed using the above quality points. Beginning with grade nine, all subjects, whether passed or failed, are included in the computation. A minimum of 21 credits are required for graduation.

The district graduated 69 students in 2018 with a 100% graduation rate. The district offers an Honors Diploma to students who meet 7 of the following 8 criteria: take four units of English, Math, Science, and Social Studies (each), three units of a Foreign Language, one unit of a Fine Art, earn a GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher, and receive a 27 on the ACT or a 1210 on the SAT. In 2017, 7 graduating seniors received an Honors Diploma. The district also offers AP courses in Calculus and English Literature and Composition.

Out of all graduating seniors (from 2017), the students collectively earned $536,000 in scholarships. Of these graduates, 51% attended a 4-Year Institution, 27% attended a 2-Year Institution or Technical School, 4% entered into Military Service, and 18% directly entered the workforce.

ATHLETICS

The district offers multiple opportunities for students to participate in athletics. During the fall, the district offers Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Girls/Boys Golf.

During the winter, the district offers Girls and Boys Basketball and Wrestling, while in the spring, the district offers Baseball, Softball, and Track.

The district participated in the Three Rivers Conference.

COMMUNITY

The district is proudly supported by it's community. From B.E.S.T (Buccs Elementary Support Team), to the Bucc (Athletics) Boosters and Music Boosters, to the Covington Alumni Foundation and the Covington Education Foundation, the district receives support both academically and athletically. All of these community organizations support the district through the donations of time, resources and finances for the benefit of all students. The district greatly appreciates this support.

ENROLLMENT

Covington Exempted Village Schools is composed of one K-12 campus with three schools: Covington Elementary School, Covington Middle School, and Covington High School. Covington High School includes students that attend the Upper Valley Career Center as well as students that participate in the College Credit Plus program.
