Pencil and standardized testing grade sheet

Beginning on Tuesday, March 28 through Wednesday, May 3, our students in grades 3-12 will be taking a variety of state-mandated assessments in English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

spaghetti and breadstick

The annual Covington High School Spaghetti Supper will be held on Wednesday, March 22 from 4:30 - 6:30 pm. On the evening of the event, the meal will be served in the K-8 Cafeteria. All proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Covington Schools Scholarship Fund Program.  Each dinner will include Italian spaghetti with meat sauce, homemade coleslaw, garlic toast, dessert, and drinks.

College Credit Plus Informational Meeting February 16, 2023

CHS will be hosting college credit plus informational meetings on Thursday, February 16 during parent-teacher conferences. CCP is open to students entering grades 7 through 12. A meeting for first-time participants will be at 6:30 pm and returning participants at 7:30 pm. Both meetings will be held in the HS Commons.

Winter Walking Hours

Beginning Monday, November 28 through the end of March 2023, the Covington school building is open for walking hours every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. District residents are invited to use the hallways and gymnasiums to walk during these times. Door 28, the main entrance to CHS, will be unlocked at 6:15 and will remain open for the entire hour.

Letter to the community on the cancellation of the varsity football game September 30.

Covington High School Athletic Director Ashley Johnson notified Milton Union High School that the Covington High School varsity football team would be unable to safely field a team for the contest scheduled for Friday, September 30.  All other Homecoming events will go forward as planned, including the in-school pep assembly, community parade, crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen, and the high school homecoming dance.

Brown Bag

All students in Covington Schools are invited to take advantage of the 2022-23 Food Program.  The program will provide a bag of non-perishable food to your child on Fridays before a long weekend/holiday for him or her to eat over the weekend.
